Atmosphere - Mi Vida Local

Oldman-Hip-Hop and his producer are back with Mi Vida Local, their strongest record in years. The project listens like a dusty-western shootout where Slug is both the villain & hero. This is demonstrated by Ant's use of harmonica as well as acoustic & electric guitars. Slow gothic beats with a forward stance are present throughout. Just the right amount of synths, drums, and bass kicks are utilised. The men of Atmosphere are getting older, and they use this album as an opportunity to reflect on where they have been and where they're going. This is old-head underground (or contemporary dad-rap) at its finest. Recommended for fans of Run the Jewels, Aesop Rock, & Brother Ali
