Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs

Tan Cressida (Columbia, Sony)

Less is more on Earl Sweatshirt’s first full-length in four years, wherein he handles the bulk of production. The project is rich in unrelenting soul-loops that allow the poet to lose himself in pursuit of complex & emotional bars. The album listens quickly, coming in at a brisk 25 minutes with zero filler-tracks. The listener gets the notion that music is a cathartic outlet for the artist. This album was well worth the wait. This is recommended for fans of Milo, A Tribe Called Quest, & King Krule
